“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” (Psalm 33:12)
The message is simple and to the point. God continues to bless the Nations who acknowledge Jehovah as God. The blessing trickles down. It extends to the States, the Counties, the Cities, and into the Streets.
Although we will always have trials and tribulations, relatively speaking, “We the People” of the USA have been blessed. It is because historically, we have been a “Nation whose God is the Lord.”
“The Hand of providence has been so conspicuous in all this, that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge his obligations. … The blessed Religion revealed in the word of God will remain an eternal and awful monument to prove that the best Institution may be abused by human depravity. … It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favors.” —George Washington (1778)
There is a cause and effect axiom involved here. As Citizens, the more we acknowledged the Lord God, the more richly blessed we became.
As the Family, so Goes the Nation!
It is a statistical fact that “the family that prays together, stays together.” Many of the problems we are now experiencing as a society exist because parents decided that they no longer needed church. And now, years later, the ramifications of that choice have adversely affected the children and thus, the entire country. Blessings will come to each of us as individuals, communities, and citizens of this great Nation when we DECIDE to go back to church.
There’s a Reason that Multitudes Want to Come Here
Millions of people from other nations have longed to live in and have come to this blessed Country of ours because, whether they acknowledge it or not, they want to live in a country that has been blessed of the Lord God in its 250 years of existence.
On this 250th Birthday of our great Nation, we must give glory and honor to the Lord God who said in His Word, “Blessed IS the nation whose God is the LORD.”
Our country will continue to be blessed richly for the next 250 years, or until Jesus comes in the meantime, if we as a Nation, as a People, as a Community, as a Family, and as Individuals stay with the LORD and worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24). If we go in the other direction, the opposite will be the case. That is God’s Word of Truth.
We in this Nation have much to be grateful for! It is the LORD who deserves all the praise, the honor, and the glory. Whether here on earth, or in eternity, the next 250 years will be blessed and glorious when we decide once and for all, “Blessed is the Nation [the States, the Counties, the Cities, etc] whose God is the Lord.”
So be it in your life!
